Things you will see along Route 15
Up one levelSome pictures to reassure you that you're still going in the right direction.
Intersection of Route 15 and Route 3 in Bucksport
There is an Irving gas station here to fill up. If you don't mind a 5 or 10 minute detour, take a right onto Route 3 to go see the cool new bridge they're building over the river there. Right around here, there are also fast food places like Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds if you're into that sort of thing.
15 turns right at the Shell Station in Orland
Route 15 and Route 3 brake away from each other at this Shell Station in the town of Orland. You'll be turning Right.
Blueberry Factory on the right!
Shortly after you pass the shell station, you'll see a large blueberry factory.
Statue at Right Turn in Blue Hill
As you come down a hill into the town of Blue Hill you will hit a stop sign at a T in the road. There will be a bronze statue of a Native American holding a spear right in front of you. The statue is in front of the Jud Hartmann Gallery which features bronze statues from a series called Woodland Tribes of the North East. (http://www.judhartmanngallery.com/) You will be turning right to continue onto Route 15.
On Caterpillar Hill You'll see a great view of coast
There is a place on the right to pull over and stretch. The actual view is much prettier than the picture.
The Causeway
Those of you staying at the Red House Inn, If you see this causeway, you have missed the inn.
