Tea misnomers
Dear Internet,
It has come to my attention that SpecialTeas is now "part of" Teavana.
Now don't get me wrong — it my understanding that Teavana sells some very nice, high-quality teas.
However, if, for some reason, you do not find that the SpecialTeas-Teavana merger was everything you had hoped for — perhaps you'd like to choose from more than 1 kind of Assam (you picky jerk), or maybe you'd like a little more information when choosing your Sencha (oh wait, there's only 1 kind to choose from; never mind) — you may find some consolation in the fact that Upton Tea Imports is still in business, and has 8 Sencha varieties (3 of which are even certified as organically grown, for whatever that's worth these days) and upwards of 30 Assam offerings. Oh, and you can buy a Pu-Erh that doesn't have crap in it. (Actually, you can buy 9 different crap-free Pu-Erhs.)
I hope you find this information useful.
Rant-ily yours,
nate
